Cosmo Couture Kick Off

The 2014 Cosmo Couture event, which occurs later this fall, kicked off at the Teknion DC showroom where the 26 design teams selected their Presidential inspiration theme. Each team was called up to randomly pull a tab off the wall, revealing a president’s name and will create a haute couture runway piece inspired by the time period from which the president served. Design teams will explore the political status and fashion trends that marked each era and use interior design materials such as textiles, flooring, ceramics and other items to create a unique and inspired garment.
